Tracking Reblue's
carbon footprint

At Reblue Ventures, sustainability isn't just a buzzword — it's at the core of everything we do.
We believe that what gets measured gets managed. By rigorously quantifying our emissions footprint, we can establish a baseline, set ambitious reduction targets, and hold ourselves accountable to continual progress over time.
We are going beyond just measuring and are already implementing a wide range of emissions reduction initiatives across our operations, product design, software development lifecycles and overall business practices.
This is both an environmental imperative and an incredible opportunity to innovate. We are excited to share our learnings and welcome partnerships to raise the bar for sustainability across our industry and value chain. But first, let's look at where Reblue stands today on our path to building a sustainable, low-emissions business for the long term.

Measured Scope 1, 2 and 3 per employee for the period - Apr 1, 2023 to Mar 31, 2024.
Emission Intensity per Employee
Our emission intensity is comparably low at just ~1 ton of CO2 per employee per year. This is below the average for the tech sector, where emission intensities can often exceed ~2 to 3 tons of CO2 per employee annually. This efficiency underscores our commitment to sustainable practices and highlights our leadership in minimizing environmental impact. We plan to reduce the emission intensity further in line with our low carbon ambitions.

Sustainable Data Storage & Compute
• The compute, storage and also other data center services are specifically leveraged from Green Data Centers of Google Cloud.
• By choosing these eco-friendly data centers, we substantially lower the carbon footprint of our digital operations.
Blending usability and sustainability
• Single click task execution at most places.
• The frictionless onboarding does not require any input from the user.
• The dark mode also reduces the emissions
• No use of images/multimedia content, most of the content is driven crisply worded insights
Sustainable Architecture
Maximising the use of Serverless Computing to optimize the execution.
Splicing in Sustainability into the company's DNA
We have taken some key decisions to ensure that sustainability is built into our operational DNA
Remote First Org
• We've embraced a flexible work-from-home policy, which significantly reduces our carbon emissions.
• By minimizing daily commutes, we cut down on transportation-related emissions, contributing to cleaner air and a smaller overall carbon footprint.
• This approach not only benefits the environment but also supports our employees in achieving a better work-life balance.

Optimizing Operations
• Optimizing business travel by encouraging employees to take trains or buses instead of flights whenever feasible, as well as hosting more online meetings to reduce travel.
• Minimizing video streaming in meetings by defaulting to voice-only calls and making video an opt-in choice.
• Using energy-efficient devices and policies like automatically turning off idle computers and enabling computer sleep modes to reduce energy consumption in the office.
• Promoting sustainable transportation by subsidizing public transit passes and providing electric vehicle charging stations for employee use.
Employee Engagement and Education
• Our sustainability efforts are supported by ongoing employee education programs.
• By fostering a culture of environmental awareness, we ensure that our team is equipped with the knowledge and tools to contribute to our sustainability goals.
• This collective effort helps drive our success in reducing our carbon footprint.
The Road Ahead
We are proud of the progress Reblue has made so far in measuring our carbon footprint, implementing emissions reduction initiatives, and baking sustainability into our product design and development processes. However, we also recognize that this is just the first step on our journey.
We have a vision of becoming a net zero emissions company over the next decade. But we cannot achieve this alone. We need collaboration across our entire value chain - from engaging our suppliers to design more sustainable sourcing, to partnering with cloud providers and open source communities to develop cutting-edge green software architectures, to raising awareness and driving sustainable behavior change among our customers and users.
